Join us for a special masterclass with Southern Wild Distillery and their internationally award-winning Dasher+Fisher gin range The Gin Palooza is coming to town on 4 April with the aim to bring Canberra the best experiences in Australian gins - and in case you were curious, there's over 150 gins are coming! To make the day even more outstanding, we're bringing you a very unique masterclass never before seen in the Capital... In the south of the country, Southern Wild Distillery have been not-so-secretly producing a range of award-winning gins that are turning heads in Australia and the UK (the home of gin itself). Isolated from the rest of the world, north-west Tasmania is naturally blessed. Full of towns named Paradise, Promised Land, Nowhere Else and Whisky Creek, everything points to the perfect place to make good liquor. Surrounded by clean air, the purest water runs from the snowmelt from Cradle Mountain via rivers such as Dasher and Fisher, through the rich soils of undulating hills, crossing the narrow coastal plain and into Bass Strait - this place is home to Southern Wild Distillery and the Dasher+Fisher premium gin selection with origins from the Ocean, the Meadow and the Mountain, and also some specialised flavour accents with Strawberry, Sloe and Saffron Gins. It'll be a complete tasting experience with something for every tastebud. Our master distiller, George Burgess, has used his background in the food and beverage industry combined with his knowledge of the perfume industry, to create delicious fresh flavours with multiple layers of aromas that evolve and add a sense of mystery. George believes that every sip should give you a sense of time and place; that you should almost smell and taste the season and the landscape.
