Boatkeeper consists of two sets of brothers, Jordan and Boyd Fuller and Ben and Jack Rungert along with long time school friend James Tranby-White. Who better to team up with, than another set of brothers, The Ocelots. The Ocelots are twin brothers from Ireland, who recently opened a a number of festivals for Jack Johnson in Europe and through a series of events, are now joining Boatkeeper in Australia. Keeping with the family feel, local sibling acts will be opening with Boatkeeper and The Ocelots The band have been writing new material and hitting the studio very shortly, but not before road testing some of these songs and of course playing the crowd favorites that have been part of their current set list. Along with this, they are releasing a special remix by ARIA winning producer, Govinda Doyle of ‘So Much More’ Boatkeeper introduced themselves last year in a big way with their hugely successful sophomore EP ‘Shadows’ which saw the band sell out their EP launch at Brisbane’s Black Bear Lodge and sell out their first ever show in Melbourne at The Wesley Anne. This quickly followed with a sold out support of the Oxford Arts Factory in Sydney with Sons of the East, and capacity crowds on an East Coast tour with Tyne-James Organ. Boatkeeper song, ‘Cleanse’ from their debut EP Windward, amassed over 1 million plays on Spotify, and they reached the charts on the 4ZZZ hottest 100 and the AMR top 20 folk tracks of 2018. See them perform live at The Jack! |
