Celebrate Australia Day with a snag-making masterclass by Head Chef Ivan Pinteric as guests learn how to make & cook the perfect ‘snag’ by learning the art of fresh sausage making.

He will show you everything about Sausage making; from the best cuts of meat to use, how to grind meat, herbs and seasonings to use, how to fill natural sausage casings and the perfect way to cook your snags!

Once the hard work is done you sit down, admire the view of the Yarra River & city skyline whilst enjoying the a sit down gourmet sausage lunch with a nice cold beer.

  • Course commences at 10.30am and concludes at 12noon followed by a sit down gourmet sausage lunch with a complimentary beer
  • Course notes, chefs apron and all equipment supplied.

  • Please bring a cooler bag to take fresh produce home safely.

We have Australia Day festivities all day on the Common Lawn so once you're done you can grab a seat in the sun on the Common Lawn as the tennis plays out on the big screen and Triple J’s hottest 100 countdown blazes across speakers all day.  There will also be face painting for kids and the whole family to get in on.

  • Cancellations less than 5 days from event date are not refundable
  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to commencement of class
  • Due to the nature of the class we can not cater to dietary requirements
  • Participants must be a minimum of 16 years old
  • At all times participants must comply with directions provided by the instructors and obey any safety procedures advised by the organisers.
  • Consumption of alcoholic beverages is not permitted prior to or during practical classes. Intoxicated persons will not be allowed to enter the class or participate in any way.
  • All participants are required to wear closed shoes and have no loose articles of clothing.
  • Common Man accepts no liability for students failing to comply with health & safety instructions given by the class instructor.
