The home vineyard, first planted in 1982 is situated on the lower northern slopes of Red Hill and has ideal conditions for growing traditional cool climate European varieties. Its ideal sandy loam soils, considerable vine age and close proximity Port Philip Bay each contribute immeasurably to the premium wine styles that the Crittenden family have become known for. After growing up on the farm the second generation of Crittendens are now fully immersed in the running of the business. |
