Showgirl Sensations: Unleash Your Inner Glamour!
This is a fun and interactive high energy, low impact class that takes the student one step further into the glamorous world of burlesque 'tease' and the 'Golden Era' of Hollywood from a time gone by. During this six week course each student will learn how to unleash their inner showgirl through a fun choreographed burlesque routine. You will be encouraged each week to embrace your curves, build self esteem, finess your walk, hold your posture high, work on leg & arm movements & facial expressions, eye contact, non-verbal communication, costume peel and so much more. Instructor The “Dancing Showgirl of Australian Burlesque”, Caterina Vitt ceaselessly seduces show goers with her high kick antics and witty ways. A show pony at heart, she is the tenacious bombshell who has danced around the globe. At the tender age of three, Caterina embarked on her dancing journey. She commenced the RAD ballet syllabus in the 1990’s and completed her examinations in 2002. Caterina also trained in Jazz, tap, hip-hop, modern, Spanish, vaudeville & contemporary. Caterina started teaching in 2003. Miss Vitt choreographed many of the performers solo & group acts for local eisteddfods & concerts. In early 2009, Caterina moved to Mumbai. She was contracted to dance in the Bollywood films all over India. A couple of the films she was featured in include “London Dreams”, Run Bhola Run” & “All the best”. Caterina was introduced onto the burlesque scene in 2011. (All classes under the direction of Dolores Daiquiri) No dance or burlesque experience necessary. This is a burlesque exercise class!! When: Monday 20 April to 25 May 2015 Where: Maison Burlesque, Level 1, 54-56 Bridge Road, Richmond VIC Time 7.45pm – 8.45pm What to wear: Something comfortable to dance in. Shoes to move easily in. Props provided. Bring some water and a towel. NB: Please arrive 10 minutes before class so we can start on time. 6 Week Pass: $120 4 Week Pass: $80 Casual Class: $25 All bookings attract an online booking fee Please note that is you enrol in the 4 Week Course it is valid from the 20 April to 11 May. If you want to attend week 5 and 6 please pay in class at the casual rate. Terms and Conditions By entering the class, students agree that the Australian Burlesque School is in no way responsible for injury or loss caused during classes or whilst students are at or near the venue / studio. Students are responsible for ensuring that they are physically and medically fit for the course that they are enrolling or enrolled in. During the class students must take care at all times for their own personal safety and inform the teacher of any physical limitations they may have. Should students have a pre-existing medical condition or are in doubt as to their suitability for the course, we recommend they advise the Principals immediately. Cancellation / Refund Policy The Australian Burlesque School cannot be held responsible for any lateness, incomplete attendance rate or complete failure to finish the course and will not refund for any of the aforementioned. The Australian Burlesque School is not required to provide a refund if students change their mind or are unable to attend the course due to changes in personal circumstances, work commitments or other reasons beyond the School’s control. We are not required to refund due to personal opinion or subjectivity about the content of the course or teaching methods applied during the course. The Australian Burlesque School has the right to change the times and dates of any class. We require a minimum number of students for courses to proceed and have the right to cancel any course if this minimum has not been met. We shall communicate any changes to those students who have booked into classes/courses where a schedule change/cancellation has occurred. |
