Ariela Jacobs and Bri Clark invite you to a special event, an amalgamation of stories, songs and voices, to celebrate the release of new music.
New York born and Melbourne bred, Ariela Jacobs was destined for life as an artist. The granddaughter of renowned Yiddish poet and novelist Jacob Rosenberg and sister of Theatre Director Adena Jacobs, Ariela was raised on a diet of literature and art. Ariela’s song-writing sends the listener on journey which is simultaneously intimate and other-worldly; melodies with clear folk-based lines, underscored by lush chords and pulsing rhythms. With vocals veering between the fragile clarity of confession, and the full-bodied howl of a young woman in possession of her story, Ariela’s music has the power to break your heart, then heal it again. Bri Clark has the world at her feet. The budding singer-songwriter is making waves across the Australian music scene with her latest single ‘Giving Up’. The Perth artist quickly captured the attention of the industry when the track was nominated for the 2018 Vanda & Young Songwriting competition prior to its official release in September. Debuting at #1 for its first two weeks in the world on the triple j unearthed charts and as well as being AIR’s Feature Artist of the Week, the track was also added to Spotify’s New Music Friday AU & NZ and the New Alt Indie playlists. ‘Giving Up’ has had an instantaneous effect on the Australian music community. After rallying a wake of fans from far and wide with her haunting vocals, brooding melodies and dark pop vibes Bri Clark is excited to share new music in an intimate setting with friends new and old. |
